Challenges and Responsibilities of Higher Ed in Millenials Training

In an interview with the Apec RH Magazine, Sébastien Tran, Director of EMLV, explains how Higher Education is taking into the question of Millenials as future managers. He also delivers 4 business advice to establish a win-win relationship with young graduates.

According to a June 2017 Cegos survey, “Millenials and Work”, 58% of Millenials say they are satisfied with their current job. However, 48% are ready to leave in the short or medium term. A problem that companies and their HR teams are facing today.

What are the Millenials’ concerns about their future businesses?

They want to be able to work in a more flexible way, using new tools that will allow them to gain autonomy and to acquire new skills on a regular basis.

In what ways does higher education prepare the Millenials for the realities of today’s professional world?

Beyond technical skills, our challenge is to develop their skills, their soft skills, and above all: the ability to work with people who are not the same age or profile as them. This responds to a real need for companies to set up mixed teams, combining complementary skills.
