The 6,500 students of the three schools, EMLV, ESILV, and IIM already had access to remote learning tools, starting the very first day of school closure. The digital pedagogy has been in place for several years.
“Since 2018, the Pole’s Leonard de Vinci schools have had a Digital Pedagogy Department, which has carried out major work of deploying digital tools and a new LMS (Learning Management System) for all teachers. The strike action that hit France at the end of 2019 was a full-scale test of distant learning programs and has provided significant feedback on ways of handling the current crisis.”, says Sébastien Tran, Deputy Managing Director at the Pole Leonard de Vinci and Dean of EMLV, in an interview with L’Usine Digitale.

This comprehensive e-learning system has been developed with the support of a team of dedicated staff trained to use the methods of virtual instruction and provide innovative tools, such as a video studio that has been used by teachers to record their video lessons.p
The faculty has been trained to provide virtual classes via a range of digital teaching tools, including the following:
During this period of closure, the Pole’s administrative and educational staff have had no respite. Staff is working remotely so that all the events that mark the school year can be planned and organized.
The follow-up and the continuity of the activities at the Pole Leonard de Vinci are made possible by teleworking, using collaborative and videoconferencing tools.
Admission and enrolment activities are also ongoing, with a remote admissions format, including interviews and webinars in place of the usual “open days” events.
