Orientation at Devinci Higher Education is about new beginnings, new places, new classes, and new goals. One week before the beginning of the Fall semester of 2022, orientation officially started on Tuesday 30 with the arrival of first-year and exchange students.
In the academic year 2022/2023, Devinci Higher Education welcomed students from over 30 different countries, on exchange programmes and full-time degree programmes run by EMLV Business School, ESILV Engineering School and IIM Digital School.
Welcoming Devinci Higher Education’s new generation of international students
From August 30 to August 31, new first-year and exchange students were invited to join a variety of events on campus and in Paris’ most iconic places as part of the orientation days organized by the Welcome Desk and hosted by Devinci Higher Education with support from Erasmus Student Network student club. This orientation program is an opportunity to get an overview of what to expect when studying abroad, meet students from different programmes and specializations, and dive into Devinci’s digital culture.
The orientation kicked off with a welcome breakfast on Devinci Higher Education campus. Later, the students attended a welcome conference with speeches from school deans, academic directors, international teams, and international alumni, including a fantastic speech by Bhavya Katiyar, EMLV student, class of 2023.
After taking a campus tour and going on an outing in La Defense District, the newcomers also had the chance to enjoy a picnic lunch on the Champs de Mars, the park with the most stunning view of the Eiffel Tower. Proactivity was the watchword coming out of Devinci Higher Education’s first welcome week: “Studying abroad is the opportunity to collect new skills and rethink your future without borders. The condition is to get involved and engage with the community so you can understand how Paris works, how campus life works, and be at ease with the French way of life”.
