EMLV Business School has partnered with 3 European universities and 2 EdTech companies to design the modern 21st-century curricula. Devinci Higher Education is the leading organization of this strategic partnership awarded by the European Commission under the Erasmus + charter.
The Erasmus + program “EdTech and AI for essential Skills of the 21st century” (TASK 21) aims to implement new pedagogical models to address modern societies needs.
Reinventing the pedagogy to develop the 21st-century skills
UNESCO, OECD and other institutions identify Twenty-first-century skills as competencies required for a sustainable future. These are transversal, transferable skills, which include :
- Creativity & innovation
- Critical thinking, problem-solving & decision making
- Learning to learn & metacognition
- Communication & collaboration (teamwork)
- Information literacy, ICT literacy
- Local and global citizenship & personal, social responsibility (including cultural awareness and competence).
- Life and career skills
If it wants to shift toward 21st century standards, the modernized curricula should be digital, personalized, cross-curricular content, flexible and competency-based.
In 2019, the European Commission allocated 306 000 euros to the programme as a part of an Erasmus strategic partnership to help educational structures to modernize the design and delivery of formal educational curricula in Europe.

EdTech & AI for innovative education
According to Zhé Yuan, leader of the TASK 21 project, “the course of project TASK 21 will be digitally reinforced, adaptive, modular, focused on developing learners’ transversal skills and will offer mutually recognizable qualifications.
By 2027, the course “EdTech and Ai for essential Skills of the 21st century” is expected to reach and improve the competencies for creating 21st curricula. It will offer 3000 HEI students via the university course and 600 – 1000 educators via the MOOC.”
