On March 23d, students and their families were gathered for the class of 2017’s graduation ceremony. Business school EMLV students were given their diplomas, an occasion to be reunited one last time before becoming alumni.
La Maison de la Mutualité’s theater, in the heart of Paris, hosted the commencement ceremony for 1700 students from Pôle Léonard de Vinci’s three schools. EMLV graduates shared the stage with fellow graduates from engineering school ESILV and web and design school IIM.
Pôle Léonard de Vinci has a unique transversal approach. Throughout the course, students collaborate in multidisciplinary team projects. The final mortarboard throwing was a perfect symbol of this educational project, as blue, red and orange tassels flew up in the air!
The ceremony was hosted by two students. Before graduates were called on stage, the three school directors and an alumni association representative gave speeches. Graduates were congratulated for their hard work throughout their studies and encouraged to be bold and confident in their careers.
Furthermore, the show featured a comedian, a choreography by student association LKW and many videos and pictures reminding the graduates their good times in college.
A first graduating class for the DMDA programme
The Digital Marketing and Data Analytics double diploma programme also had a first class to graduate. These graduates wore a mortarboard with a double tassel. This course indeed grants a double diploma both from EMLV and IIM. In two years, DMDA students are trained to be managers with a high level of expertise in digital marketing and data.
This graduation night was also one of the first for the MBA. This programme, taught in English, is followed by international students. The MBA aims to give the students the necessary skills to path their way to a successful career in the digital sector, in France or abroad.
From students to graduates…to alumni
Getting a diploma does not mean graduates will part ways with EMLV. The Business School is keen on building strong connections with its alumni network.
Graduates are welcome to come back on campus for conferences, job fairs, alumni fairs and all kinds of events meant to foster the school spirit going strong, organised by the corporate partnership department.
The Pôle Léonard De Vinci Alumni association was founded in 1996. It now gathers over 8000 alumni from the three schools in a wide variety of professional areas, in 46 countries worldwide.
