Haeun is Korean, from Kyonggi. She studies at Kyonggi University, in South Korea and is following the international exchange program at EMLV.
Hello! My name Haeun KIM. I’m from South Korea. My University in South Korea is “Kyonggi University” and I study International industry. I have chosen this program because I have only two years left to study in my university and I wanted to have an experience in another country.
I’ve chosen France because my dream is to work in UNESCO and the main office is established in France. That’s why I came here and because I really wanted to learn French in France. Paris is the capital city of France and is the central city of Europe. Paris has a lot of famous places like Orsay Museum and Luxembourg garden, and I love it. That’s why I’m here.
My double major is International industry. And I chose EMLV because it’s a management school with English-speaking professors. They all speak English and have a good experience in teaching. EMLV has a lot of subjects in the field of management like marketing and policies in Europe for example.
The difference between my country and here is that the French enjoy their life. In our country, it’s a little bit more stressful, faster, we are always busy.
It is different in France. Here, you can enjoy your life, music and cultures. It’s very pleasant.
In Paris, I really like my neighbourhood. I live in Wagram Avenue. It is very close from the Champs Elysées. Champs Elysées is a very good place to relax and to read books. Paris by night is good to explore from the Champs Elysées and the Eiffel Tower. It’s a very good place. I really like EMLV because this University has a very good location. We have a lot of bank offices and a very big shopping mall around our university. It’s very useful and very comfortable for students because we need post offices, banks, etc. It’s a very good location for us.
My advice for the other students is to improve your English before coming here because one semester is too short. You have to learn many things here and improve your language skills : your French and your English.
