The latest edition of the career fair enabled students from the EMLV, a business and management school located in Paris, to meet recruiters from over a hundred major companies.
Organized by the department of corporate relations and the student association De Vinci Partners, the career fair was intended for 4th and 5th year students looking for a final-year long duration internship, a work/study training program or even a first job.
The school’s partner companies presented their activities and job opportunities on stands, in the heart of the campus. Students were thus able to meet major companies all in one place and one day. Recruiters from the many multinationals attending the fair offered pre-employment internships and other positions to be filled worldwide. An opportunity for EMLV students who already acquired a working knowledge of the international business world during their third year – necessarily abroad.
EMLV’s future managers accessed thousands of internship and job offers, both in France and abroad, in areas such as communications, digital, capital market, web marketing, human resources and project management. Banking, hospitality, insurance, media, sports, energy were among the many business sectors that offered opportunities that day.
The recruiters who participated in the career fair were looking to recruit innovation-driven talents able to fit in fast-moving organizations. This happens to be a strength of EMLV students, who could bring out their soft skills, on top of their academic knowledge. Indeed, soft skills are at the heart of Pôle Léonard de Vinci’s educational program. These behavioral skills are acquired during lectures and tutorials but also during transversal projects led each year with students from the fellow schools: ESILV for engineering and IIM for Internet and digital.
