Yu-Hsin is Taiwanese, from Tunghai. She studies Hospitality Management at Tunghai University and is in international exchange in EMLV.
My name LAI Hsin-Yu and I’m from Taiwan, Tunghai University. My major is Hospitality Management and I’m a master student. I came for this exchange student program because it’s my last year as a student. If I hadn’t taken this opportunity, I wouldn’t had this chance to study and experience different cultures anywhere else.
I have been to France twice and I really liked it, but I travelled with a group for only five or ten days in Paris. In my opinion, I felt the need to stay at least one year long to live this new experience : learn french and the different cultures. I have chosen Paris because we can meet people from all over the world, and not only French people, and because the subway and the bus are very convenient here.
I have chosen EMLV because there is an exchange program between Tunghai University, my school, and EMLV. Since I knew I had the opportunity to come to the EMLV, I interviewed in my school and here I am!
In EMLV, you can meet people from all over the world and they speak different kind of languages. I was surprised at first, because I can only speak chinese and a bit of English.
People here are really nice and the staff from the international relations department take care of the students.
Before I came to Paris, I was really worried to deal with complicated papers, but they help you out so you don’t need to worry about this. And the teachers here are also from all over the world : Brazil, China, etc.
I live in Courbevoie. It’s just five minutes of walk to school.
If you come here, you’ll meet people from all over the world. If you stay in Tunghai University, it would be a pity for you because you won’t get the chance to live an experience abroad. So just go for it!
