Committing to consistency means a great deal to us, here at EMLV Paris. Even if every life experience is different, many of our struggles, setbacks and successes teach us how to make our goals a reality. EMLV faculty are renowned leaders in their respective fields, effective teachers and dedicated mentors, often for life. Today, in our series “Meet our Faculty”, Kseniya Navazhylava, professor and researcher in Management and Research Methods at EMLV, tells us a story about consistency.
Since 2018, Ksenya Navazhylava has been a professor at EMLV Paris La Defense. As her speciality developed in social issues related to technology (mostly digital media), such as transparency, structuring of work, and occupational dynamics coverage, she teaches Research methods in MBA and International Business programs.
Ksenya had another life as a journalist for a Belarusian media outlet. After 11 years of faithful service, she left her career and country and returned to school, as a teacher.
” I have been working at EMLV for a year already and before that, I spent several years in France during a postdoc at the Grenoble Ecole de Management and also a PHD at the HEC Paris. It’s my second career, before that I was working as a journalist in the biggest newspaper in my home country and that was really fun, but that made me super tired, because it was a daily newspaper, with a lot of stress and all the responsibilities of every day.” (Kseniya Navazhylava, Research Methods professor at EMLV)
“That would be a very complicated choice if I would have started imagining how that all would be and thinking through every step. But I was sure I want to do it. And I was sure I would have the time and the stubbornness to put all my efforts into success. And the choice was simple, after that. That’s why, my biggest lesson is : Don’t stop, if you have something as your goal, just keep on working on it and it’s all going to come true and that’s all going to be really cool, I promise.” (Kseniya Navazhylava, Research Methods professor at EMLV)
Before joining EMLV, she has worked as a postdoctoral fellow at Grenoble Ecole de Management, exploring the connection of digital media and ritual infrastructure and teaching Organisational Behaviour and Managing Organisations.
“I have written a small book of translations of the poetry by a Russian poet, Marina Tsvetaeva. This book is out very recently, it has been out in December, and I’m very soon to organise a launch for it in Paris.” (Kseniya Navazhylava, Research Methods professor at EMLV)
