Patrice Hlomenou graduated with a Master’s in Management – Digital HR in 2020. He is a Talent Acquisition Specialist at Capgemini, where he is part of the group’s successful business expansion strategy. As a recruitment specialist, he supports the digital transformation of various industries by hiring critical IT talent.
Today he shares his journey as an IT recruiter in an interview published initially on the Capgemini blog. His career in talent acquisition started with an apprenticeship program in banking in France, as part of his Master’s in Management degree at EMLV Business School.
From EMLV to a career in HR
“Having chosen EMLV after my baccalaureate allows me to pursue and deepen my knowledge in the fields of business, human resources, finance, etc. As my school emphasizes the development of associative life, I have the chance to be as involved in my schooling as in my artistic interests”, said Patrice, who integrated EMLV in 2015, right after his high school graduation.
During his five years of study at Devinci Higher Education, as part of the Master in Management (Grande Ecole) in Digital HR major, he had extensive modules in talent acquisition: subjects in digital skills development, HRIS and E-HR systems, digital HR marketing & employer branding, CSR & Ethics. During this time, he realized that a career in IT recruitment was what he aspired to after business studies.
“To prepare for the future, I think it is important to relate to the present. Each day represents a new opportunity to learn, improve my skills and become an expert in Recruitment. To achieve that, I constantly communicate with my manager to define short-term objectives and move toward a clear direction. Thanks to that, we prepare for a consistent and interesting future, in adequacy with my aspirations. The function of Talent Acquisition continues to change and evolve, I hope to continue to work on these subjects over the years”, said Patrice.
In today’s disruptive landscape, the HR function is the driving force behind any transformation that will come through people and technology. “To support the digital transformation of Capgemini’s clients, I have to research, identify and select new profiles in a very competitive and constantly evolving field. Collaborating with directors and managers is key to understanding the development strategy and defining precisely the resources needed to achieve our growth goals”, Patrice said.
