Top 10 Most Attractive French Startups in 2018

LinkedIn France issued a selection of the most attractive French startups. What these young companies have in common: 50 or more coworkers, less than 7 years in business, independency, French headquarters and above all, a strong will to disrupt.

To establish this Top for the year 2018, the professional social network has used data coming from the actions of its 16 million French members.

Study is based on four criteria: growth of workforce, company and coworker interactions on LinkedIn, interest of members for the company’s job ads and the ability to attract talents from multinationals.

Here are the 10 most promising French startups.

1. PayFit – IT services / Fintech

PayFit developed a software for human resource services. Its goal: automating payroll and social declarations. Over 2000 companies now use this SaaS, including French successes Heetch and Doctolib.

2. Snips – Software

Snips created a voice assistant. What makes it different from competitors Siri or Alexa? Data privacy! The AI programme does not need to send user data in the cloud. The French startup will issue its first mainstream voice assistant at the end of 2019.

3. Qonto – Financial Services

Qonto‘s pitch is simple: opening a bank account in less than 5 minutes, for 9€ a month. Over 25 000 customers have already trusted the French company, the majority of them are freelancers and startuppers.

4. Everoad – Transportation

Sometimes referred to as “lorry Uber”, this platform has expanded its first activity of helping transportation professionals and companies connect to organise article expeditions. Everoad now manages directly good transportation, competing with well established French companies such as Geodis.

5. Blade Shadow – Cloud software

This French startup created shadow, a highly powerful computer whose main asset is its virtuality. Its 25 000 users, most of them gamers, need only connect online to access high-end processors.

Aircall‘s idea is simple: making corporate phone systems easier. Its unique technology enables the creation of a dematerialized call center in 3 minutes, as well as the integration of calls on platforms like Slack.

Tiller Systems has developed a till to be used on an iPad. Business owners may of course take orders and cash them but also monitor their sales and integrate digital tools.

Back Market is a refurbished product marketplace. Customers may purchase second-hand smartphones, computers, TVs and still benefit from a guarantee. A recent 41 million Euro fundraising will enable the French startup to try to conquer the US market.
